Hey, Hey!
I'm Kendra Dove
I am a mom to two boys. Married to my best friend. An Indianapolis-based sleep trainer and consultant specializing in infant, toddler, and big kid sleep. I have worked with hundreds of families, both locally and all over the country, to solve their sleepless nights. Before I became a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I worked full time as a physician assistant. Similar to caring for my patients and solving complex medical challenges, working with families 1-on-1 to form personal relationships and solve their sleep struggles is my passion.
Is my life chaotic? Absolutely. But the one thing that is a constant calm to our chaos, is our sleep. Was it always like that? Absolutely not.
When I had my first son, I’d rush out of work to pick him up from daycare and speed home to spend every minute with him before bedtime. Getting him down for sleep wasn’t a problem. Getting him to stay asleep was a struggle. I felt guilty for wanting him to sleep so I could, especially since he was away from me all day. The nights he only woke once felt like a dream, but that turned into 2-3-4 wakes. I was frustrated and tired. I would dread night time.
Maybe like you, I spent my time googling and searching for answers. The results: teething, regressions, separation anxiety, etc. After countless hours researching and money spent on courses, I asked my husband to hire a sleep consultant. He was convinced we could figure it out on our own, and said no. He wasn’t breastfeeding so he wasn’t the one getting up with our son multiple times (I see you!). This added a layer of pressure to mama-hood; nursing, pumping, keeping a human alive, and now to figure out how to fix sleep struggles when already sleep deprived.
Despite a lot of trial and error, I needed clarity, a plan. Someone to look at my situation, fit all the pieces together, and answer my questions. And when that happened, my son did amazing. He started sleeping through the night, consistently. Just like my clients will tell you, “I wish we would have done this sooner. Every parent deserves sleep.“
You don't have to sacrifice your sleep as a parent, and neither does your child
Then came my second son. The newborn who could seemingly be awake for hours. The spirited one. The one with colic, tongue tie, plagiocephaly, cow’s milk protein intolerance, nursing strikes, bottle aversions. I had never felt so blessed to have the sleep education, tools, and years of expertise, because through it all, he slept well.
You are a mom, a dad, a first time parent or parent to multiples, a co-worker or boss, a friend. You know that sleep deprivation doesn’t work for your mental health, your marriage, your job, your parenting journey. The truth is, you don’t have to sacrifice your sleep as a parent, and neither does your child.
You need a clear plan that is effective for your child’s temperament. You need to trust that you will be heard and seen. You need someone to validate your feelings, to encourage you during the tough nights, and to give you hope that restful nights are possible.
Instead of endlessly searching for answers, make a lasting change for you and your family with my personalized sleep training services. You can save your time for you, your relationships, performance at work, and all those moments of your child’s life that go way too fast. An investment with value for a lifetime.
Someone to encourage you during the tough nights and to give you hope that restful nights are in your future
Get to Know Me
- We have random picnic movie nights. Our kids get to pick the food (think pancakes for dinner) and movie, and we eat on the floor "picnic" style while watching
- We love the outdoors, walks and hikes, but our absolute favorite place is the beach
- My husband is 15 minutes early and I'm 10 minutes late, marriage is all about balance
- I'm all for the real and raw. I love meaningful conversation. If you want to know something, just ask
We went from our son waking 6-10x a night (yikes), to him sleeping 10-11 hours a night within a matter of one week
