Frequently Asked Questions
Listening to your child cry can be incredibly challenging. I understand this whole-heartedly. But, I will always be honest with you, and the truth is there will be some crying -or protest- during the learning process, as there’s no way to eliminate it entirely. Crying is a natural response for children, especially as they adjust to new habits and to change. For toddlers and older children, most of the protest experienced during the process is rooted in their dislike to the shifts made around bedtime routines and sleep. Rest assured, I will provide you with a thorough approach that aims to reduce unnecessary tears by addressing all factors involved in the shaping of sleep. I’ll also help you develop a clear plan for handling any tears that arise, allowing you to be consistent and confident in supporting your child. I’ll also support you to help navigate any fears it may cause. The families I’ve worked with will 100% attest that with my clear plan and consistency during this process, they experience far fewer tears early on.
Your child to be able to fall asleep independently and quickly, within 15 minutes, in their own bed at bedtime (and nap time if applicable). Your child to be able to sleep through the night and sleep in their own bed all night. Your child to gain the confidence around sleep, ditch the anxiety about sleeping alone or in the dark, and look forward to sleep!
If you trust the process and trust me, this will work. For my families that have 100% committed to me, my success rate is 100%. It is only when families choose to deviate from the plan and recommendations that they do not see the expected results. Your family’s success relies on your dedication to the plan, to me, and consistency.
